The Dolly Vaccine

Back in November we learned that Dolly Parton had funded the Covid-19 Moderna vaccine. Parton had donated one million dollars towards this new vaccine. Recently we have learned that while she is eligible to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, she won’t. Why?

Parton has always been a generous woman. Currently Parton is still funding her non-profit organization: Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. So, generous would be an understatement.

“I didn’t want to jump line. I didn’t donate the money so I could be protected. I did it for everybody,” Parton said.

Parton prioritizes others over herself, and this definitely not the first time. Some important things to note that she has done would be the My People Fund. My People was for the individuals who lost their homes and families during the 2016 Sevier County wildfires.

Parton has a heart for the people, but is humble. Recently there was a bill proposed to erect a statue of Parton at the Tennessee Capitol Building.

“I personally do not want that. I think that’s something that can be done after I’m dead and gone,” Parton said.

Dolly Parton continues to show her heart for the people. The vaccine wouldn’t be where it’s at with Dolly. So when you are receiving your vaccine make sure to be thankful for the people who have made this happen.
