With an ‘Instagram-story-like-format’, Apple Replay gives listeners an inside look at their listening habits throughout the year. These habits include Most Listened to Song, Most Listened to Artist, Top Genres, and much more. With music being such a significant factor of life, reviewing what you listened to over the course of 365 days is an experience that millions of people look forward to.

Overtime, our music taste expands and leads us into a rabbit hole of all things musical. A fan-favorite feature incorporated into Apple Replay is your Most Listened to Artist. For Dalilah Barger (10), her #1 artist came as a surprise. 

“I was shocked that I listened to Morgan Wallen that much,” Barger said.

Although Apple Replay day is eagerly anticipated, what would it matter if the results are inaccurate? In Senior Ruthie Davis’s opinion, she thinks her stats are fitting.

“I love the results I got because it was just all over the place. For example, my most listened to genre of music was country. But then, my top song was “Love Me” by Lil Wayne, Drake, and Future. So I do think it’s accurate because I can vividly remember how many times I listened to that song. And for my top artist, I did kinda expect Taylor [Swift] to be my top artist because her albums always set the mood. It’s just an easy listen for all of her albums, especially when you’re driving,” Davis said.

Overall, Apple Replay is loved by millions of users. Delving deep into your music taste and habits is a thrilling experience. But when it comes to Lyndsee Tolliver (11), she hopes to see a new feature in next year’s Apple Replay.

“I wish I could see how much I listened to every song, like how long I streamed it for,” Tolliver said.
