The Knoxville Zoo is a popular place where schools bring their students for field trips. There are around 900 different animals that are showcased at the zoo. They are all unique and unusual which allows for an amazing experience for the viewers. Briley Caldwell (10) was delighted to see two very popular animals.

“I was most excited to see the otters and the giraffes,” Caldwell said.

The zoo is very large and has multiple sections to see. One section you are able to see is their monkey enclosures. The chimps can be seen at the Chimp Overlook and the gorillas can be seen in Gorilla Courtyard. In these areas, Caldwell was able to see the cutest animal ever.

“[My favorite experience was] seeing the baby chimpanzee with all of my friends. [It was my favorite because] I haven’t been to the zoo in a really long time,” Caldwell said.

During this field trip, there was a bonus feature that happened; it was raining! It was annoying at first, but it created an enjoyable moment for us to share. The rain did not last very long, but it was fun while it lasted. Caldwell’s favorite moments were the weather and getting food with her friends.

“We got Chick-fil-A before and the rain made everything so exciting,” Caldwell said.

The zoo field trip was a fantastic adventure for everyone and allowed people to have some remarkable memories to share!
