One Stage Worth a Thousand Memories

The sensation, the beat, and the flashing lights create an unforgettable experience and an atmosphere that is indescribable. For some people, the best concerts are performed in a sold out stadium with the top artist taking the stage. Others may prefer seeing a smaller artist performing in a park or an open field. Regardless of the location, artist, or genre, music is felt internally through the rhythm of the drums and emotion behind the lyrics.

Kymber Carroll (12) got the opportunity to witness Ty Myers perform at the Pinnacle in Nashville Tennessee. Ty Myers is an uprising country artist who is well known by the younger audience- teenagers and young adults. Ty Myers mainly performs music about relationships, reflections, and romance with a combination of an acoustic or electric guitar. For many fans, Ty Myers’ music is relatable and the beat consists of emotion and liveliness.

“I like Ty Myers music because it’s real and you can feel the emotion in every song. He sings about things people actually go through, like love, heartbreak, and life. It makes his music easy to connect with. I love how his voice has this raw, strong sound but still feels smooth and genuine. His songs always have meaning behind them, and you can tell he puts his heart into every word. Some of his songs make you want to dance and others make you want to sit back and really listen to the lyrics. that balance is what makes music so special to me,” Carroll said.

Due to Myers being eighteen years old, it creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm and engagement. Myers has the ability to perform and be attentive to his supporters. Often involving himself by making everyone feel seen and noticed, he reads signs out loud, sings happy birthday, and even allows people to sing into the microphone. Reflecting back to singing and dancing in the crowd, Carroll reminisces on the endless memories she made that special night.

The energy of the crowd and everyone singing along to every song made it unforgettable. It was amazing he sounded even better in person. I thought the best part was when Myers played my favorite song and also getting to see him perform in Nashville was beautiful,” Carroll said.

Not only did Carroll experience the concert on any random day, she experienced the concert on her eighteenth birthday. As her special gift, Eva Mizer (12) surprised Carroll with the opportunity to witness Ty Myers perform in person. Mizer is also one of the many Ty Myers fans that are inspired by his music. This act of genuine friendship made the night even more memorable for the two of them.

“It was amazing. I saved up to buy us the tickets. I’m a huge concert person so getting to see someone I actually listen to often was such an amazing experience,” Mizer said.

Not only are concerts live performances, but they are experiences that bring friendship together through unity of music, raw emotion, and unforgettable moments. Even though concerts are temporary and unfortunately cannot last forever the story of rhythm and energy will live for eternity.
