More Than Just A Bouquet

More Than Just A Bouquet

Balancing school, creativity, and running a business isn’t easy, but for Kimberly Cano Saucedo (11), it has become part of her everyday routine. As the founder of Hermosas Blooms, she has turned her passion for arts and crafts into a growing bouquet business that reflects both her creativity and determination.

Her journey started with a simple interest in making things by hand, something she has enjoyed for as long as she can remember.

“I’ve always loved arts and crafts, and making things by hand is one of my love languages,” Cano said.

As Cano spent more time creating, what began as a hobby gradually turned into something more meaningful, especially with encouragement from her mom. That support helped her start seeing her work in a new way and recognize her own potential.

“I realized this could become something more when I knew I could actually create bouquets,” Cano said

That realization pushed her to take her craft more seriously and begin shaping it into a business. One of the first major steps in that process was choosing a name that truly represented her work and identity.

“I chose the name Hermosas Blooms because hermosa means beautiful and blooms represents flowers blooming, and I wanted to include Spanish since it’s my first language,” Cano said.

With her business taking shape, Cano began exploring different ways to grow creatively. She looks to platforms like Pinterest, TikTok, and Facebook for inspiration; she pays attention to trends while still developing her own unique style. She also experiments with templates in Canva to help generate ideas and explore color combinations.

As Cano’s responsibilities grew, so did the challenges of balancing everything at once. Managing school, orders, and personal time often becomes overwhelming.

“I end up falling behind on homework, orders, and work, and I have a lot of sleepless nights trying to keep up with everything and trying to make everything look good,” Cano said.

Even with those challenges, figuring out how to manage it all is still something she is working through.

“Honestly, I don’t even know how I manage everything sometimes. I push myself to go beyond what my mind says I cannot do,” she said.

Despite the pressure, Cano continues to build confidence in herself and her work, taking pride in what she creates.

“I feel really confident in my work, and my bouquets always eat. My clients give me positive feedback which helps me know the areas I did well on,” she said.

What keeps Cano motivated goes beyond the business itself. The impact her work has on others plays a big role in why she continues.

“Knowing I can make someone smile or feel something positive is what keeps me going,” Cano said.

Looking ahead, Cano plans to keep growing Hermosas Blooms by trying new ideas, improving her designs, and continuing to expand her creativity. Her journey reflects dedication, growth, and a strong sense of purpose. Cano’s story shows how passion and determination can turn a simple hobby into something meaningful, proving that it’s possible to start building something at any age.
