The Lenoir City High School swim team defeated the Anderson County Swim Team on November 21st, 2015. The team won with a score of 112-65, which means this is the first meet the team has won out of the two meets this season.

In addition to the past meet, there were two more LCHS swimmers who made city meet cuts: Nathan Holliman in the 500 freestyle and Seth Gates in the 100 backstroke. There were no state meet cuts, however, there was one swimmer within 0.2 seconds of making the time.

Six swimmers on the team won first place in their event. Those swimmers are Hunter Blue, Seth Gates, John Sims, Bailey Fritz, Rachel Scheffer, and Nathan Holliman.

Abby Howell, a swimmer who made two city meet cuts and one best time in the previous meet, will be going to the city meet this year. “It’s a lot more upscale than all the other meets,” she said. “There’s a lot more people and it’s very large… I’ve been to every one since I was 7 and I’m excited to go again this year”.
