Ruby Rose Stars As Batwoman
For the past few years the TV networking channel CW has produced correlating TV shows for the DC comics franchise, including Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow. It has recently been announced that they are producing a new show about Batwoman and that the titular role will be portrayed by Ruby Rose.
Ruby Rose surprised many critics and fans with her debut on the Netflix original show, Orange Is The New Black. Since then, she has been cast in movies such as John Wick and The Meg. Rose has continued to further her career since just being an Australian model.
Over the years, Rose has been known to be an active part of the LGBTQ community. From “CW Orders ‘Batwoman’ Pilot Starring Ruby Rose” Cynthia Littleton says, “The latest iteration of Batwoman, aka Kate Kane, is described as an out lesbian and highly trained fighter who has no trouble speaking her mind.” Now it is known that her character in Batwoman will, in fact, also be a part of the LGBTQ community. Batwoman will be the first character from the DC comic series to come out as apart of the LGBTQ community.
Christien Grantham (11) has been anxiously waiting for the new show to premiere.
“I think it is great, Ruby Rose is a wonderful actress and her personality is perfect for it.” said Grantham.
Rose has shocked fans and critics everywhere with the evolution of her career; many of them are excited to see how Rose pulls off the role and how the show will turn out.
