28 Newspaper articles, 4 yearbooks, and now 4 years later, I sit here today as a senior. I can’t believe that I am at this point in my life already. It feels like yesterday I was just a freshman walking into Journalism. Little did I know Journalism would have such an impact on my high school experience and on my future.
Funny story, I wasn’t supposed to be in Journalism and I was actually supposed to be in Digital Arts. Mrs.Wallace changed my schedule a day before school started and so I was intimidated walking into a class filled with a bunch of upperclassmen. Being 1 of 2 freshmen in Journalism ended up working out and I am now sitting here.
I was able to be a part of creating four different yearbooks: Rise Up, Playlist, We Are, and this year’s book. Through making these books, I was able to make so many good memories and friends. On top of that I was able to have so many opportunities. One of them being going to New York City. I was able to see and do things that I would have not been able to do without Journalism.
As I wrap up my last article and time in Journalism, I would like to thank all of my family and friends who got me through high school. I’m excited to continue my journalism path in college and I hope to continue to make more great stories. On that note, Goodbye LCHS!
