As summer is approaching the one thing that can get us through the second semester, is spring break! With everyone trying to get ready for the 9 weeks ending and prepping for their ACT, we all needed a break. It is crazy to think that we have been in school for 237 days already, with barely any days left till summer, here is a recap for this year’s spring break
Jaiden Hutto (11), shares her spring break to be very eventful. Hutto went to the Macy’s Day Parade for Saint Patrick’s Day with the LCHS band.
“I was looking forward to spring break and it was one hundred percent a needed break. I had such a fun time being with my friends and all the things I did on the trip,” Hutto said.
Along with being in the parade, Hutto and her friends went to Six Flags and the Aquarium.
“I had a lot of fun at the aquarium taking pictures and seeing all the different animals, but I wasn’t a fan of Six Flags since I do not like rollercoasters,” Hutto said.
I would definitely say that Hutto had a very eventful spring break.
Out-of-state trips are fun, but Savanah Best (12) decided to stay in state for this spring break. Best decided to take a trip up to Gatlinburg with her friends.
“I was definitely excited to go on spring break and hang out with my friends. We all had such a fun time staying in a cabin and doing all the fun activities up in the mountains,” Best said.
One of the things that Best said she and her friends loved to do was to sit in the hot tub.
“We practically lived in that hot tub the whole trip. I loved sitting out there and watching the sunset and taking in the beautiful nature and scenery,” Best said.
In all, I think that Best had a great spring break.
With the school year coming to a close, I feel that everyone needed this spring break to get away from school and work. Especially since everyone has worked so hard this school year. I think that it’s safe to say that this year’s Spring Break has been a good one. Now the countdown till summer begins.
