Bonnaroo is an annual music festival held in Manchester, Tennessee. Thousands of people flock to see their favorite artists year after year, and Bonnaroo is no stranger to bringing the best and biggest stars of today’s music scene. 

The Bonnaroo lineup this year is featuring artists like Lord Huron, Machine Gun Kelly, Wallows, and many more. Asking around Lenoir City High School about opinions on the upcoming artists.

Angel Curse talks about his favorite song by Lord Huron,

“Team by Lorde just has good class, and I just love vibing to the song at night.” As well as people’s affinity for Machine Gun Kelly,” Curse said. 

Tickets for this experience start at $350 and offer many activities within the festival, such as yoga, 5k’s, and water painting. Each year there are around 150+ musicians, 10+ performance stages, 4 campground party barns. This year’s dates are Thursday, June 16th to the 19th, taking place in Manchester, Tennessee.

Starting in 2002, Bonnaroo has been increasing in popularity, now with 80,000+ attendees. The music festival has had some of the greats: Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Jay-Z, U2, Nick Cave, Emmylou Harris, Pearl Jam, Eminem, and Radiohead, to name a few. There are different sections in the music festival, the main area is Centeroo, open the whole day with snacks and other activities.

There was a fear that after the 2021 Bonnaroo music festival was canceled that Bonnaroo wouldn’t be back, they had canceled because of covid. To be able to attend you must either have proof of vaccination or a negative covid-19 test to enter the actual grounds. The official Bonnaroo Twitter encourages guests to get vaccinated before entering the grounds, and for unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask.
