The lights are beaming. The crowd is cheering. The girls are holding their breaths waiting for homecoming night. Pretty dresses and pampering are one of many exciting things about homecoming. Lenoir City High School is proudly showcasing Suzanna Jay, Cassidee Lee, Brook McJunkin, Emma McQuilkin, Nicole Miraflores, Perry Moore, Jada Morelock, Miya Norman, Taylor Pennington, Hadlee Presnell, and their escorts on the 2021 court. 

Suzanna Jay, being escorted by her father, Alan Jay, is a two-sport athlete: varsity soccer and football. Jay uses her artistic talent outside and inside of school. Jay is involved in journalism and spends her time painting, drawing, and working with pottery.

Cassidee Lee, being escorted by Cody Fine, is a co-captain on the cheerleading team. Lee is academically involved in clinicals and chorus. She has 7 siblings, consisting of 4 brothers and 3 sisters. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends. 

Brook McJunkin will be escorted by Mason Guider on homecoming night. McJunkin is a varsity soccer athlete, as well as being academically involved in both honors and AP classes. Outside of school, she plays for Knoxville Crush and enjoys spending her free time shopping. One of her favorite places is Free People.

Emma McQuilkin plans on being escorted by her father, Kent McQuilkin. The senior is a varsity basketball athlete, involved in FFA, and keeps up with honors courses.  McQuilkin is one of eight siblings. In addition, enjoys spending quality time with her family whilst camping.

Nicole Miraflores, being escorted by Carson Brewster, is a track and field athlete. Miraflores is involved in extracurriculars such as NHS and medical classes. Outside of school, she enjoys her time outside in nature along with hanging out with her friends.

Perry Moore, being escorted by Kaleb Mckee, is a varsity basketball athlete. Moore is involved in honor classes and is in FFA. Moore spends her free time painting, drawing, and hanging out with her friends.

Jada Morelock, being escorted by Branson Meeler, juggles being a student and an employee at Texas Roadhouse. Morelock loves mac n’ cheese and chicken “nuggies” and enjoys hanging out with her friends. Morelock watches rom-com movies with ice cream and enjoys sleeping.

Miya Norman, being escorted by Derek Davis, is a softball athlete. Norman is a manager at work and enjoys her free time hanging out with her friends. She also believes that she’s “going to be a celebrity one day,” Norman said. 

Taylor Pennington, being escorted by Roi Tester, is a track and field athlete. Pennington holds the high jump record for the school with 5 feet 1 inches and has been in track for 5 years now. Pennington enjoys the outdoors like hammocking and playing Minecraft.

Hadlee Presnell, being escorted by Matthias Witte, is a varsity basketball athlete. Presnell is quite dedicated academically, being enrolled full-time at Roane State. She also participates in Mechatronics. Spending time with her friends and family are a few of Presnell’s hobbies.
