Timehop History

August 28, 1963

On this day 51 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave one of his most important speeches in American history. King delivered his famous speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in an attempt to shed light on the fact that even though slaves had be freed, “…the negro is still not free.” Today, we can see all of the progress King made for American civil rights and learn from his wisdom.
