Two best friends were interviewed separately. Emilee Salyers (10) and Ashton Hall (10) agreed to take the bait and answer some questions about their best friend to see how their answers relate to the other’s.

We bring Emilee in first.

Who is your best friend?

Emilee: Ashton Hall

What is the best thing about your best friend?

Emilee: That she always she is always happy and so helpful towards other.

What is something that you dislike about them?

Emilee: She loves glitter and almost everything she owns has some kind of glitter on it. It gets on everything.

If you could describe your best friend as a celebrity, who would they be?

Emilee: She would be Demi Lovato because Ashton loves to sing and Demi Lovato talks all the time about people being who they are and for people to accept people how they are. That sounds like the kind of thing Ashton does.

When/where did you meet your best friend?

Emilee: I met her when we were about three years old because her family started going to the church my family went to.

What is your best memory with them?

Emilee: One of my favorite memories with Ashton is when we went to Gatlinburg and she bought two pounds of taffy from a candy store so we could have a taste test. We took a picture of all the taffy, and we didn’t even eat half of it, but I thought it was cool she bought all that.

Have you been on vacation with them?

Emilee: We have gone on multiple church trips together, but over fall break this past year, she went with my family to Gatlinburg to stay in a cabin to meet up with my uncle. We always have a lot of fun when we hang out.

How long have you been friends?

Emilee: Ashton and I have been really close since about fifth grade.

How have you kept the friendship alive?

Emilee: Honestly, I’m not sure. It may be that we are so different in some ways and so alike in others that we can never get rid of the other one. I think we are stuck with each other for a while.

Ashton: Emilee Salyers.

What is the best thing about your best friend?

Ashton: How open minded she is and how she is always been there for me.

What is something that you dislike about them?

Ashton: She is the worst at comforting people, ever!

If you could describe your best friend as a celebrity, who would they be?

Ashton: Benedict Cumberpatch. **

When/where did you meet your best friend?

Ashton: Emilee and I met when I moved here from Charleston when I was five.

What is your best memory with them?

Ashton: When the two of us roomed together in Florida

Have you been on vacation with them?

Ashton: We’ve been on, like, a million trips together, including Florida for band and New Orleans for a mission trip.

How long have you been friends?

Ashton: 5 years.

How have you kept the friendship alive?

Ashton: Just always being there for each other and our personalities are complete opposites, so that always makes for a good time.

**Ashton meant Cumberbatch and it’s kind of a thing to mess up Benedict’s name.

Emilee and Ashton may have to discuss their relations of time but each friend has decided that opposites might just attract after all.
