The Lenoir City volleyball team played Farragut September 16, at home. Junior varsity and varsity both played. JV actually beat Farragut in the first set. Cassidy Young and Taylor Goodman had amazing hits at crucial times. Anna Radford dug some great balls, so that the setter could get our hitters the ball. When Kayla Roe got up to serve, she got them all over and scored quite a few points. Her short serve closed the gap between the score, and the Panthers took off.

They played a second set, but this time the tide was turned. Farragut had powerful serves that the Panthers could not return. Since both teams won one set, they went into a third set, but it was only to fifteen points. Lenoir City played hard, but it was just not enough. Farragut took home the win over Lenoir City.

Varsity played immediately after the junior varsity game ended. Coach Williams started the game by telling the girls, “You have nothing to lose.” Lenoir City started out by hanging with them, but Farragut pulled away. Michaela McFalls, a sophomore, stepped up into her position on the floor. She got up to block on every hit and swung at every ball.

The Panthers had trouble executing when given a free ball, a pass over the net by the other team. They especially struggled in back row passing. Farragut took home to win in all three sets.
