The community gathers for the announcement of the year. The silence has never been louder than the pause before the declaration of our homecoming queen. The time has come for our annual fall homecoming for the 2022 school year. The court gathers with their most elegant dresses along with their sharp escorts. Earlier in the week, their peers and fellow student body would vote on who they think should be their homecoming queen. The ten girls who were chosen for our 2022 homecoming court are Emma Cubberley, Raygan Gabel, Kirsten Littleton, Mallory Hurst, Nancy Poisal, Shea McJunkin, Vicky Cahue, Eleanor Sims, Ashley Nolazco, and Serena Nguyen.

Emma Cubberley will be escorted by her father, Duane Cubberley. Cubberley is a proactive student involved in multiple clubs and in organizations within Lenoir City High School, such as journalism, student council, panther crew, NHS, environmental club, diversity club, book club, and manages the school’s social media. She plans to attend Appalachian State University with a double major in journalism and recreational management.

Raygan Gabel will be escorted by Maddox Frazier. Gabel is an active member of anchor club, HOSA at Lenoir City High School. After school when she isn’t working at Clean Juice, she enjoys time in Young Life. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in nursing.

Kirsten Littleton will be escorted by her father, Shannon Littleton. Littleton is an active member of the Lenoir City High School golf team and NHS. She loves to spend her time on the lake with friends and work at Fox Den. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in dermatology.

Mallory Hurst will be escorted by Jonathan Waldrop. Hurst is an active member of the Lenoir City High School soccer team along with NHS, HOSA, mu alpha theta, FCA, young life. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in pre-pharmacy.

Nancy Poisal will be escorted by Owen Poisal. Poisal actively participates in Lenoir City High School clubs like HOSA and mu alpha theta, along with being NHS president. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in pre-med.

Shea McJunkin will be escorted by her stepdad, Chad Colvin. She is an active member of the Lenoir City High School soccer team along with golf. She enjoys working at Clean Juice and spending time on the lake. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in business.

Vicky Cahue will be escorted by her brother, Alberto Cahue. She enjoys competing on the Lenoir City High School soccer team. She loves to surround herself with friends and things that make her happy every day. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in sonography.

Eleanor Sims will be escorted by her father, Jack Sims. She is active in Lenoir City High School clubs like NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, interact club, and the swim team. She spends time after school working at KFC and hanging out with friends. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in architecture.

Ashley Nolazco will be escorted by Kaden Murray. She enjoys competing on the Lenoir City High School’s soccer team and spending time with friends. She loves to make people happy and laugh. She plans to attend Tennessee Tech University to major in clinical psychology.

Serena Nguyen will be escorted by her father, Linh Phan. She is an active member of Lenoir City High School activities like journalism, mu alpha theta, panther crew, and secretary for NHS. She enjoys playing piano and drawing during her free time, along with working with her mom as a receptionist. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville to major in pre-law and a minor in business communications.
