Cortez says: For us every week is the same preparation and practice structure.  Within the practice plan we will vary offensive and defensive plans,” Cortez said.

Cortez shares the fans’ atmosphere from their big win against Hixson: “The Hixson atmosphere was very positive!! The crowd was great. Heritage crowd was very loud!!!  It was fun!!” Cortez said.

After both games Cortez shares what emotions the team as a whole were experiencing prior to these past couple of games; “Before each of the games we had confidence…” Cortez shares that after these big wins “It was euphoria,” Cortez said.

Cortez believes that the players put their practice and dedication into their performance these past couple of weeks.

“We played well in both games, Defense has played very well down the stretch!! Heritage too, defensively we held them to 60 yards in the first half.  Offensively  we racked up 420 yards,” Cortez said.

Even being on fall break, the panthers were able to secure a win against Hixson, Cortez stated his opinion on the performance level over fall break: “I would say it was good, we beat Hixson,”Cortez said.

The coaches of the Panthers hope that the players are feeling confident after these wins, and are ready to do it again this week against Powell. Cortez is ready for another week of preparing the same as always to take the W this Friday!
