Deadman’s farm has been a popular attraction worth dying for, ever since it opened over 10 years ago. Originally located at Deep Wells Farm in Lenoir City, this year the company has decided to move their location to 13100 W Lee Highway, Philadelphia due to overcrowding. Although Dead man’s farm moved their location, that didn’t stop students like Jade Holloway(12) from visiting such a well-known and beloved attraction.

“I enjoyed my experience, overall I’d rate it a 9. But, it seemed like it was super fast this year,” she says.

Although it seemed super fast this year to Jade Holloway(12), she finds the bright side in going to Dead man’s farm every year.

“I’ve always loved going, I’ve gone every year since high school has started for me,” she says.

Jade states that she might go in the future, but only if they have a longer attraction next year.

“I will probably go next year, I just hope it’s not as fast as it was this year, it was just a little overpriced for the short amount of time I was there. Maybe I was just running too fast,” says Jade Holloway(12).

On the other hand, Zoe Sibley(12), an actor at Dead man’s farm shares her experience from working at Dead Man’s farm this past fall.

“My experience has been amazing! I’ve made so many new friends and created bonds that I wouldn’t even imagine I would make. Of course, I take pride in my role. I was given my role for a reason, so I make it my job to play it out as strongly as I can. Plus it’s what I want to do for a living, scaring people and looking all gory!” says Zoe Sibley(12).

Of course, to Zoe Sibling(12) scaring people and looking gorey isn’t just her favorite part of working there, but rather learning what to do and how to apply it.

“I would say the best part of my job is learning what to do. When I first started off, I was kind of lost. I wasn’t really sure what to do and what not to do, but now that it’s the end of the season, I now know my part like the back of my hand. It just comes so natural,” says Sibley(12).

Zoe Sibley(12) further elaborates on her experience as being a first-time actor for Dead man’s farm.

“Being new to it all for the first time made the experience a little bumpy, but now I feel like I’m just like the actors that has been there since the beginning,” says Zoe(12).

Although being a first-time actor, Zoe Sibley(12) can recall and explain her experiences for herself as an actor and what she sees with guests.

“When you are just going through the attraction as a guest, you see the scary people and you can feel the suspense in your body. You adrenaline is going insane because you have no idea what to expect. Working in an attraction you are nervous at first, and you have no idea how they are going to react. But once you start to get the feel of your area, you start getting used to dealing with different reactions,” says Sibley(12).

Due to the experience Zoe Sibley has had as a first-time actor, she definitely wants to continue next fall.

“Of course I plan on working there next year! They are family to me now, and I wouldn’t want to let them down, ” says Sibley(12).
