February rolled around this year and the Oscars were immediately a topic of discussion for many people. On the 24th, the awards show began, presenting Academy Awards in 24 different categories.

New film “A Star Is Born,” was one of many shows to be nominated for a number of things in a number of different categories. The movie was nominated for “Actor in a Leading Role”, “Actor in a Supporting Role”, “Actress in a Leading Role”, “Cinematography”, “Music (Original Song)”, “Best Picture”, “Sound Mixing”, and “Writing (Adapted Screenplay)”. Though nominated for 8 awards, the film only came out winning one, which was for “Music (Original Song)”. “Shallow” from the movie by Lady Gaga, won the award. Gaga and Bradley Cooper went as far as to perform the song with an emotional spin for the viewers.

The annual Oscars this year went smoothly, for the most part. As the shows 100th airing gets closer, producers are working towards making their show better than ever.
