Once the students of LCHS returned to school after fall break, they were surprised to hear the new bells. Some were confused what they were, and some knew what they were.

These bells are hard to hear, and are really short.

“I don’t like them. They sound like the siren at the start of the purge, or The Hunger Games countdown just before it starts,” said Hayden Varner (9).

There’s a warning and an actual bell that tells you when to be in class and when to be dismissed. With the way these bells sound now, they are hard to tell apart. Even worse, they’re almost nonexistent outside in the courtyard.

The bells used to be the original alarm for any school. Although the change isn’t the end of world, it’s still enough to make you cringe.
