This year we’re going to be starting a new tradition. For the first year ever we, the people of Lenoir City, are getting to paint our parking spots. We’re the first ones around, and it’s going to be the start of what we hope becomes a tradition. It’s going to be filled with paint, food, and fun. All the proceeds from the event will be going to Pennies for Patients, which is the fundraiser set up by the Leukemia & Lymphoma society. Not only do you get to personalize your parking spot, but you’re also helping people with blood cancers.

To participate in the event it will be $30.00 which will allows you to paint your parking spot with the paint provided. You will have to get administrator’s approval over your design by the Monday before the event dates. Seniors will get to paint their full spot while juniors and underclassmen will only get to paint half of their spot. There will be prizes given out to the best parking space for both the juniors and seniors.

People are planning their spots and getting excited already. ¨Everyone gets to express their individualism and it’s for a great cause,”said Kylie Preston (12). We hope to see more people getting excited. We hope you are there and help get this new tradition off the ground and running. Official dates will be released later, although we hope to start in October, so start preparing some designs.
