On February 6th, 2015, Super Bowl 50 was played at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California–over 70,000 people attended the game. The Denver Broncos won against the Carolina Panthers with a score of 24-10. This was the third time the Broncos have won the Super Bowl, including when the team won in 1997 and 1998.

The Broncos were ahead of the Panthers for the entire game.

Since this game was Super Bowl 50, it was a very big deal to many sports enthusiasts and regular people alike. The game had a golden theme, and the Roman numerals were taken and replaced by our number system, Arabic numerals. MVP’s from previous Super Bowls were brought onto the field in honor of the 50th.

Lady Gaga performed the national anthem before the game. Along with Gaga, there was a woman named Marlee Matlin signing the anthem for the deaf in ASL.

Coldplay performed at the halftime show, along with Beyonce and Bruno Mars, who have both performed at previous halftime shows.

Chris Morrison (10) was one of the millions of people that tuned into the game. “My favorite part was the ending when I saw the Broncos win. I was rooting for the Broncos because I like Peyton Manning, he’s my favorite player,” he said.
This Super Bowl was clearly one that will stand out for years.
