On December 5th, 2015, the Lenoir City High School swim team had a swim meet at the Claire Donahue Aquatic Center in Lenoir City against the Berean Christian School. The middle school team lost 113-134, and the high school team lost 74-150.

Five high school swimmers made city meet times, including Jacob Gump, John Sims, Bailey Fritz, Logan Wright, and Ann Marie Smith.

Jacob Gump and Abby Howell got first place in one of their events. Hunter Blue got first place in two of his events.

John Sims, one of the high school swimmers, made a city meet cut time. He has never been to a city meet with the school team, but has with the summer team that he swims on. “This is the first year I’ve been on it [the school team],” he said. However, he’s been on a summer team prior to being on this team. “I joined because of the new coaches… I like them a lot, and I definitely like the team.”
Both the high school and middle school team have a meet this upcoming weekend at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center at the University of Tennessee
