The literary magazine is a showcase of artists in many areas across the student body. Students can submit artistic work until April 19. While we did not sell these last year, editors Sarajane Weber and Eli Park (12) are determined to bring it back better than it was before.
“This year’s literary magazine will be different from what we’ve sold in the past because no one currently at LCHS has seen physical copies, they’ve only been digital,” Weber said.
The theme is “Flourish,” with a fresh, floral look for spring. To go along with this, Kyra Grason (11) submitted photos of flowers.
“My photography is mainly of flowers, but the one I submitted is probably the best one out of the bunch. The theme is floral, so I figured I would add some flower photography.” Grason said.
While all students can submit their work, every piece may not be shown. Students should be sure to submit their best work so it can be featured in the magazine. Grason shares advice for any student considering submitting their work.
“I would tell them that it really helps make the lit mag easier, and who wouldn’t want to show off something they are proud of?” Grason said.
A literary magazine is a hard task to take on, but with the help of the dedicated editors and artists, photographers, and writers across the student body make things run much smoother. The magazine will be available to purchase in the coming weeks for around $10 to see the talent of school artists.
