The Night of Music: The 2022 Grammys

Winning a Grammy is one of the biggest things a music artist can accomplish. It was hard for many artists this year to even win one due to the competitive market. But many artists fulfilled their dreams at The 2022 Grammys by being recognized for their hard work. If you couldn’t tune in with the rest of the world, here is what you missed. 

Many new artists took home awards in the Pop Genre. Olivia Rodrigo took home three grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Doja Cat and SZA won their first Grammy by winning Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Love for Sale by Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. 

The Rap category is another popular genre. Hurricane by Kanye West featuring The Weeknd & Lil Baby won Best Melodic Rap Performance. From this win, West has the most Grammys’ as a Hip-Hop Artist. Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar won Best Rap Performance. Best Rap song was Jail. Best Rap Album was awarded to Tyler, The Creator – Call Me If You Get Lost.

Country Music is another competitive genre at the Grammys. Chris Stapleton won Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song. The Best Country Duo/Group Performance was awarded to Brother Osborne. Chris Stapleton yet won another grammy; Starting Over won Best Country Album. 

The Grammys awarded over twenty-five different genres of Music. Leave the Door Open won Record of the Year. Jon Bastine’s album –We Are–  was awarded Album of the Year. Leave The Door Open won Song of the Year. The 2022 Grammys was another eventful award show that will go down in the books!
