From holographic Valentine cards to diamond rings, people, big and small, are being spoiled in some way or another. Not everyone, however, is well experienced in the minefield of romance, but with a little help, anyone can master the art of love.

  1. Hang Out
Whether it be at a movie theater or your house, just spending some time with your partner will make them feel happy and valued. Think about what they like and build the experience around both of your preferences. It’s important to do something you will both enjoy; it will make the day a good memory for the both of you.
Going Out: Spending time away from home can be a good way to relieve stress. It gives both of you the opportunity to try something you never have before, or perhaps just enjoy something you don’t get to do very often. Either way, there’s a plethora of ways for the both of you to have fun on the town, for instance:
    See a Movie
    Play Laser Tag
    Go Shopping
    Go Outdoors
    See the Zoo

Staying In: The home can be a fun and relaxing space to spend your time on Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re stuck inside or just choose to be, there are plenty of ways to make it a good time for you and your partner, including:
    Watch TV and Movies
    Make Crafts
    Build a Pillow Fort
    Play Games
    Read
    Dance

  2. Remember the Little Things
Knowing little details about your partner will flatter them and let them know that you value them. Your partner will be very happy that you take the time to know these small things about them. This can also come in handy when shopping for a special gift for your partner this Valentine’s Day. There are many details you could commit to memory, such as:
    Favorite color
    Quirks in their behavior
    Favorite activities
    What they’re good at
    Physical traits
What college they want to attend

  3. Create
A great way to show your affection for your partner is to turn your feelings into something tangible. Anything from cute, spur-of-the-moment post it notes to a hand painted masterpiece will give your partner a beautiful work of art to treasure. You could describe how you feel when you talk to them, things you notice about the person, how your relationship feels, and more! It’s a sentimental and romantic way to demonstrate your feelings. There are many different ways to create something unique for your partner, including:
Art: If you have artistic skills, such as sculpting, painting, drawing, et cetera, you could use your knowledge to create an artistic piece for you partner. Take inspiration from your favorite parts of your relationship, or perhaps immortalize a moment the two of you shared. You could also attempt to describe them without using human features. The possibilities are endless, and can bring an amazing smile to your partner’s face.
Writing: Putting your thoughts into words can be difficult, but it can pay off when your partner reads and understands what you’re feeling. There are many ways to do this. You could buy a small journal and every time they do something to make you smile, write down what it was in the journal. You can share it with them or give it to your partner when it is full. You could create a series of riddles, wherein the final answer is a date for the evening. No matter how you execute it, your partner will be very happy to read what you wrote for them.

  4. Food
As the saying goes, the way to one’s heart is through the stomach. Of course, even that statement isn’t very clear. You could get lost trying to think of all the ways to amaze your partner in the art of food. Not to worry, because it really is simple, if you break it down.
Buying Food: Sometimes it’s fun to get out of the house, especially with your date. When taking your partner out, remember their preferences. Don’t take them to a burger joint if they don’t like beef, that won’t win you anything. Cooperate and focus on foods and places you both enjoy. This will ensure that both of you will have a great time and full bellies by the end of the night. Of course, perhaps you want to do something simple and stay home, and order delivery. It’s hard to wrong with delivery, assuming that the rest of the night is well supplemented with entertainment. Whether you choose to go out and eat or share take out on the couch, your partner will be very happy to spend time with you.
Cooking Food: Another wonderful way to show your efforts to please your partner is to prepare something to eat. There are plenty of options to choose from: pastries, fruits, even full scale meals. Don’t be worried if you aren’t a great cook, because no matter how it tastes in the end. your partner will appreciate the fact that you cared about them enough to try your best. Either way, you win.

A little effort and a thousand smiles will go a long way, and almost guarantee to make the day great. Try taking inspiration from this list, or perhaps create your own ideas to flatter your partner. Whichever way you lean, you’re sure to find some great ways to woo your boo.
