206 years ago today in a log cabin in Kentucky Abraham Lincoln was born. After many different jobs he finally made his way into politics and eventually became the President of the United States of America. Lincoln, during his presidency, signed the Emancipation Proclamation that abolished slavery. Lincoln was known by many as the Great Emancipator and was one of the most important men in American history.
