SZA is one of the biggest female artists in the world right now. She is known for her relatable music as each song has some element that the younger generations love. She is a fairly new artist, but it sure didn’t take long for her to grab the attention of millions. Her latest album has been a long wait for those who have been listening to her since her last release.
This deluxe had faced multiple false alarms about when it was going to be released. Even the day she planned to release it, had to get pushed back. Blakelee Hodnett (9) has been a fan of SZA for a while now, she has even gone to see a concert in New York City.
“The new album has more to choose from and I like all of the songs on it more than Saturn,” Hodnett said.
Lana came out on December 20th, 2024. One of the songs, “BMF”, has reached her 2nd highest listened-to song with 86.94 million listens. BMF is also Hodnett’s favorite song.
“My favorite lyrics from the song are; ‘that’s why he my man young, and he fine, and he tall and he handsome’.”
SZA is in the top five female artists category. She has won multiple awards including a Grammy for Best R&B Song, BET award for Best New Artist, Billboard Music Award for Top R&B female artist, and iHeartRadio Music Award for R&B Artist of the Year. We haven’t even been in 2025 for a month, and she has four nominations for the iHeartRadio Awards. Isabel Bruce hasn’t been listening to SZA for long at all, but she finds SZA’s lyrics very relatable.
“The more songs I listen to, the more I can relate to them.” Bruce said, “She has a different way of speaking to her listeners.”
Being able to connect with your listeners is something that takes true talent and SZA encapsulates this. She’s just getting started but she’s a force to be reckoned with. It’s safe to say that she is a hit with the teen generation and will continue to be for years and years to come.
