Homecoming is an exciting time for everyone, especially the ladies selected to be recognized as members of the homecoming court. Tori Bean (12) is one of the honorable girls chosen by her peers to experience this opportunity as a member of the court.
Tori is a member of the cheerleading squad and the softball team, and she has been involved in serval clubs and organizations including Panther Crew, NHS, FCA, Singers, and Young Life. Her confident and encouraging spirit shines through in everything she does, whether cheering on the sidelines or volunteering in the school and community.
“I like to stay busy. I’m always busy, and I’ve been involved in a lot of things for a while because I enjoy spending time with my friends and helping out the community,” Bean said.
After graduating from high school, Tori plans to attend college in Tennessee with ambitions of becoming a labor and delivery nurse. She has been inspired to pursue this career by her passion for helping others.
“I just like helping people out. I enjoy seeing people become a better version of themselves. You have people that come in and you have the power to change their day. I just really like helping people out and being the person that can make them have a better day,” Bean said.
As she reflects on her time at Lenoir City High School, she hopes to inspire people battling uncertainty, encouraging them to be more ambitious and find confidence.
“I hope that I have impacted people to try new things and get involved in something new. Also to be a leader, not a follower. That’s a cliché, but it is really true. [Faith] helps you step out of your comfort zone because I was so scared to. I grew in faith to help me not be scared to do things on my own,” Bean said.
Tori is thrilled for another opportunity to represent the school and make memories with the other girls selected for homecoming court.
“I’m really excited to be with all my friends. It’s just a really good bonding experience for all of us. All of them are just such good people, so I’m very excited for that,” Bean said.
Being nominated for Homecoming Court is an honor, Tori’s vibrant personality and dedication to school spirit have helped her stand out amongst her peers. Her hard work and eagerness to help have definitely made her deserving of this opportunity!
