Homecoming is an exciting time for everyone, especially the ladies selected to be recognized as members of the homecoming court. Emma Adair (12) is one of the honorable girls chosen by her peers to experience this opportunity as a member of the court.
Through her high school experience, Adair has been involved in NHS, HOSA, Panther Crew, and soccer. She has thrived in the HOSA program even getting the opportunity to attend several conferences and tournaments. She has found her passion for healthcare; In college, she plans to major in nursing with ambitions of becoming a physician’s assistant. Emma describes how her passion for healthcare has been fostered through HOSA.
“I’ve just always had a passion for it. I didn’t really have a passion for anything else. Being in HOSA has just opened my eyes to a lot more that’s in the field and exploring all the different areas of it,” Adair said.
Emma has maintained a positive and determined mindset for the future. She believes it is important to remain true to yourself and to not change yourself for others or to fit certain standards. From her four years at Lenoir City High School, Emma has learned the importance of resilience.
“[I’ve learned] to not give up. Even if you have certain failures, you can learn and grow from them,” Adair said.
Emma is honored and grateful for the opportunity to be a member of the Homecoming Court this year. She is excited to participate in the upcoming events and to get to spend time with the other girls on the court.
“[I’m looking forward to] the community events, like homecoming huddle and alumni night. I’m really excited to spend the evenings with everyone,” Adair said.
Being nominated for Homecoming Court is an honor, Emma’s hard work and involvement at Lenoir City has helped her stand out amongst her peers. Her kind spirit and determination have definitely made her deserving of this opportunity!
