Faculty Spotlight: Mr. Librizzi

This is Mr. Librizzi’s second year at LCHS. His helpful advice and guidance have made a significant impact on students. He is a career coach for our school and teaches work-based learning, which allows students to get work experience while in high school. He was inspired to become a teacher by someone who taught and coached him while he was in school.

“My inspiration for teaching came from my high school Sociology teacher who was also my football coach. I always wanted to follow in his footsteps,” Librizzi said.

Teaching has offered Mr. Librizzi many opportunities and memories. He has been able to create a connection with his students and also has been able to meet famous people to discuss topics such as coaching.

“My most memorable moment from teaching was when I got a chance to meet Urban Meyer.  He was recruiting one of our players and I had a chance to sit down with him and just talk about coaching,” Librizzi said.

Mr. Librizzi has offered much support and counseling to his students. He helps them discover their passions and with this, he helps them create a plan for the future after high school. He guides them through the planning process and assists them with finding jobs now that will benefit them in the future.

“I think that the most important thing for students to learn in high school is that everybody’s path is different. I try to encourage them to find their passion and then guide them along the way. Being a Career Coach is pretty cool because it’s all about helping students to find jobs that can help them to follow that path,” Librizzi said.

Mr. Librizzi is a great teacher and a wonderful person. His class has helped many students with their futures and given them workforce experience. His presence at the school has made it a better place and most students enjoy having him as a teacher.
