The summer of 2024 was the summer of new hits. Multiple artists released new music, including artists like; Sabrina Carpenter, and Zach Bryan. And some would say it made the summer worth remembering. Kadence Carr (10) listens to the new Sabrina Album, “Short n’ Sweet”, daily.
“[My favorite songs are] Bed Chem, Juno, and Slim Pickens,” Carr said.
She is unable to choose just one favorite, though one does overrule just a little.
“I really like Slim Pickens and what the meaning of it is. Because truly, what it feels like, to be no guys out there. And since it’s relatable, it is one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much,” Carr said.
Artists like Sabrina Carpenter continue to keep her old fans while gaining new ones since they know that she’ll always have a fun, new album. One that keeps the people waiting on the edge of their seats, waiting to see what version of Sabrina will be used next.
Though Sabrina may have switched things up in her new album, some artists keep it the same. Zach Bryan released his latest album this past July, and Katelynn Frye (12) can talk about it forever. Katelynn Frye has been a fan of Zach Bryan for a long time, but his new album takes first place.
The song “Better Days” is the most relatable to Fyre.“‘Gonna find the time to realize I’m deep on better days’” are her favorite lyrics.
“I really connect with them because I often find myself searching for what’s next and these lyrics remind me to stop and realize that I’m in my ‘better days’,” Fyre said.
These albums are an amazing way to reminisce on this past summer. They made the summer even more worth remembering.
