Concerts of 2024

Since the beginning of the 2024 year, there have been numerous artists that have been on tour for all genres of music. Morgan Wallen, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift,  Tyler the Creator, Creed, and Zach Bryan are just a few of the inspiring artists. Since the beginning of time, music has been a way to evoke emotion, express sensation, and have a deep meaning behind the lyrics.

Madison Carter (11) attended a Zach Bryan concert in May of this year for his “Quitting Time Tour”. Zach Bryan is considered a folk-country artist and is passionate about his lyrics. Carter expresses her experience at the concert as a dream.

“They (Concerts) make me feel very energetic and when I leave a concert I feel alive. When you walk out of the actual Stadium or wherever it is, it is so crazy and so surreal.” Carter said.

The experience of a concert can change your perspective and effectively move you. Crews Boals (9) is greatly impacted by Christian concerts like Winter Jam. Boals shares his personal effects when listening to music and hearing relatable lyrics.

“It affects it a lot (Boals mood) depending on what type of music it is. Whatever I’m listening to, my mood will change drastically. If I’m listening to something really happy during my day, well usually I listen to music based on my mood so like if I feel really good I’ll listen to happy music,  before my games I’ll listen to rap or something, in the mornings I listen to slower music. So it depends.” Boals said.

Music is an important part of one’s personality and character traits. Concerts transform fans into a realm away from reality. Lucas Moore (11) expresses his experience at a Childish Gambino concert as unexpected and a new outlook on his views of Gambino as an artist.

“I thought it was going to be a bunch of slow stuff. I know he raps but he’s like Frank Ocean and soft music. But then I showed up there and he showed up looking like Daft Punk but it sounded like techno music. It was kind of fun though. It was unexpected.”Moore said.

Concerts affect a person’s social connections, emotional well-being, and create new memorable experiences. The impact on music and relatable lyrics is inspiring, powerful, and motivating.
