Bring on the New!

Naomi Huichapa (12) is working on the end of the year video.

Waking up and repeating the same routine of going to high school was something I’d gotten used to in my daily life. At some points, I found this repetitive schedule tiresome, but I didn’t realize that one day that same practice would be gone in a flash and I’d be doing something more meaningful with my life.

Senior year has been the most significant part of my high school experience. This is the year I got to experience everything. I’ve gotten to be more outgoing while learning a great deal about academics. I’ve gotten to meet several people and made new friends along the way. There’s so much I could write here, but to keep it short, I’ve been in high school for four straight years and it has been a rollercoaster. There’s been a multitude of ups and downs throughout each year that’s allowed me to grow as a person.

Therefore, I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me throughout the years here. First off I’d like to thank my cats for helping me get through my difficult times. They’ve always been my support animals who I could always count on. No matter how bad the days are, I always have my cats Sampson, Mochi, and Bobba. I love them all so dearly, and could never ask for anything better!

Next, I’d like to thank my friends, Serena, Rebecca, and Renee. We’ve gotten so close this year that it’s crazy to think that we were never friends before. Journalism has helped me make new connections and become closer to the people who I owe my life to. Hanging out with them has always been a blast. Truly I’ll miss them so much!

Lastly, I’d like to thank all the teachers who have supported me in graduating and reaching my goals. They have advised me every day of my life and helped me through difficult challenges. Being able to have guidance has helped me go through my life with ease and I truly admire that.

For this reason, I’m excited to bring on my next chapter and meet new people. I hope that ending this final year with the significant things I’ve accomplished will showcase the many great things to come.
