Tis The Season
As the holiday season rolls around, the town gets into the Christmas spirit. The town becomes festive with decorations, cooking, and most importantly music. The community fills spaces with the usual festive songs that blast down shopping aisles. Due to the holidays nearing, the school hosts the annual Christmas concert.
The annual concert will be held in the First Baptist Church sanctuary. The concert will be on the 12th of December at 7 pm. The concert will be free of charge for attendees. The concert will not only include our LCHS singers, but it also includes our band.
Our LCHS singers consist of our school’s most talented and gifted singers. Mr. Cross heard many voices throughout the school, but he could only pick the best to become his singers.
The singers go through months of preparation and harmonies to master for their concert as Hayden Presley (12) shares.
“I am very excited about our performance, I think we have a long way to go. We may have a lot of work to accomplish, but I think we are ready to show up and show out,” Presley said.
Following the singers, the LCHS band will give their annual Christmas performance. This will be their first concert of the year, as well as their first concert with their new band director Mr. Slimp.
Alex Tuttle (11) shares their excitement for the concert.
“I’m so pumped to perform. It’s gonna be so much fun and the performance will be amazing. We have all worked really hard and it will show in the performance,” Tuttle said.
As the performance is coming up, the community is encouraged to attend. There will be performances of songs such as Joy to the World, Carol of the Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, etc.
