Being a senior myself, I know the effects of senioritis all too well. As the days go on and graduation grows nearer and nearer, the snooze button becomes a little easier to hit and the occasional homework seems a little less important. Most seniors feel these effects ,and the only difference is how hard the effects are or how early they begin to set in. Levels of severity range from being late to class more often to inability to complete test or class work.
“My senioritis first set in the first day of the second semester, I know this because I skipped the first day of the second semester. I dance in class and listen to music. I do not do my work and that is why I have to come back to school the week after all the other seniors have left” said Lane Vineyard a senior in regret of his decisions.
Some cases of senioritis go farther than just school.
“I don’t shower daily anymore. I shower like once every three days” said a senior too ashamed to admit their name.
Most seniors begin to find themselves wearing sweatpants and t-shirts much more often by the end of the year because they simply do not care anymore.
“My outfits alternate between whatever laundry I can find on the floor and something I actually took time to plan out in false hopes that someone will care enough about me to notice” said Matt “The Biscuit” Scott a senior who has thrown fashion out the window.
To all the underclassmen reading this article be careful to not to let senioritis hit you to early like it has many of my brothers and sisters in the class of 2k15.
